The project - why "Ristoranti Verdi" (Green Restaurants)

Each day over 9 million meals are eaten in Italy. The role of catering is becoming evermore important while institutions, like the Ministry of Health, invest in extensive long-term campaigns to make the public aware of the need to eat healthy food.

The consumer is becoming more and more aware of the importance of a correct style of eating, based on the Mediterranean tradition, particularly healthy with its extensive use of quality products from the vegetable world.

Clients want to eat healthy food because:
  • they want to keep their shape, and don't want to become obese,
  • for reasons connected to, or as a way of preventing illnesses,
  • It may also be because they want to live a life that is attentive to the quality of food (organic, wholesome)

or because

  • they often have to eat in restaurants for work/lifestyle reasons,
  • and have chosen vegetarian food as their ongoing nutritional choice.
Italian vegetarian cooking, jewel of our gastronomy, is already in our restaurants and represents an added value to promote
  • enhance the menu of individual restaurants
  • as a basis for creating a circuit of "Ristoranti Verdi" (Green Restaurants).
